HANOVER, Ind. – With nearly 500 votes accounted for, senior men’s soccer player, Dominic Isadore (Cincinnati, Ohio), has been named our Male Athlete of the Month for October.
Isadore is the second men’s soccer player to win the award, as junior Tanner Korfhagen (Cincinnati, Ohio) earned September honors. The 497 votes were the most of any male or female athlete of the month poll this fall.
The senior helped guide the Panthers to a 6-1-1 record in the month of October, as the team earned the No. 2 seed in the HCAC Tournament. All eight of Hanover’s appearances in October were in HCAC matches.
He scored eight of his team-high 11 goals in October, as he also finished with 17 total points. The senior started the month with a bang, recording a hat trick in the 5-0 win over Franklin.
Isadore later added another multi-goal performance in the 3-2 win over Defiance, on Senior Day. His two multi-goal efforts came during a scoring stretch, which saw him total at least one point in five-of-eight appearances.
Isadore’s magic number during the month of October was three, as he was a perfect three-for-three in penalty kicks and recorded three game-winning goals, to go along with the hat trick effort against Franklin. He totaled a team-high 29 shots and 14 on goal as well.
Overall, Isadore finished the season with a team-best 23 points and 11 goals, en route to earning HCAC first team accolades.
