HANOVER, Ind. –The Hanover College Sports Information Department has announced the nominees for October's Male Athlete of the Month.

With the bevy of success Hanover athletic teams accumulate each year, we will be highlighting some of the top individual standouts from each month throughout the 2017-18 season.

Nominees will be decided on by the sports information staff and the accomplishments of each athlete nominated will appear in a release at the beginning of the following month's prior performances.

Below are the list of nominees and their accomplishments for the month of October.


The freshman running back helped lead Hannover's football team to a perfect 3-0 record during the month of October, as he accumulated 662 yards of total offense and seven touchdowns…Coane opened the month with a 245-yard performance against Bluffton, earning him the first HCAC Offensive Player of the Week award of his career…Posted a career high 182 rushing yards in the 37-29 road win at Defiance…Became the first Panther in 2017 to record over 100 rushing yards in a single game, as he did so in all three outings in October…Added 229 receiving yards on 15 catches...Averaged 220.7 total offensive yards per game during the month of October…Scored multiple touchdowns in each game…Hanover's current three-game winning streak matches the longest under current head coach Matt Theobald…The team moved into sole possession of third place in the HCAC standings after the strong month.


Isadore led the Hanover men's soccer team to a 6-1-1 record during the month of October, en route to the team earning the No. 2 seed in the HCAC Tournament…Scored eight of his 11 season goals during October, finishing the month with a team-high 17 points…Tallied at team-best 23 points for the season…In the team's first match of October, Isadore tallied a hat trick, as the Panthers defeated rival Franklin on the road, 5-0…Added another multi-goal performance in the 3-2 victory over Defiance on Senior Day…Recorded at least one point in five of HC's eight matches…Posted a team-high 29 shots, including 14 on goal…Was a perfect 3-for-3 on penalty kick tries…Recorded three game-winning goals, including matches against Franklin, Defiance and Mt. St. Joseph.


The sophomore helped lead the men's cross country team to its best team finish at the HCAC Championships in over a decade…The Panthers placed second at the HCAC Championships…The sophomore was the first HC runner to cross the finish line, coming in at a personal record time of 26:07.5…His eight-kilometer time was good enough for second place individually at the conference meet, giving him all-HCAC honors…Was one of just three Panther athletes to record all-HCAC accolades…His time at the HCAC meet was just two seconds shy of tying his father's personal best mark for 19th all-time in program history…Added all-meet honors at the #JennaStrong Wilmington Fall Classic, placing 16th overall…Finished the Wilmington race with a time of 26:28.7…His best two 8K times of the season came during the month of October.
