HANOVER, Ind. – The Hanover College Sports Information Department has announced the nominees for November's Male Athlete of the Month.

With the bevy of success Hanover athletic teams accumulate each year, we will be highlighting some of the top individual standouts from each month throughout the 2017-18 season.

Nominees will be decided on by the sports information staff and the accomplishments of each athlete nominated will appear in a release at the beginning of the following month's prior performances.

In the final two games of his collegiate career, Lightfoot completed over 70 percent of his passes for 641 yards and six touchdowns…The senior averaged 325.5 yards per game, while completing 58-of-82 attempts…Threw for 382 yards and five touchdowns in the home contest against Manchester on Nov. 4…During the Manchester game, he flirted with the single game program record for completion percentage, but incompletions in desperation time dropped him to a 75.6 completion clip…Surpassed 5,000 career passing yards in the contest against Manchester…Added 269 yards and one touchdown in the season finale against Franklin.


The senior competed in his final collegiate race at the NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional on Nov. 11, as he was one of just two Hanover runners to place inside the top 35 overall…Named to the USTFCCCA Great Lakes All-Region team for his performance, giving him two cross country all-region selections in his career…Ran an eight-kilometer time of 26:27.6 at the NCAA regional race…His time at the regional event capped a stretch of four straight sub-27 times in 8K races…Hanover finished 14th out of 36 teams at the NCAA Regionals, marking the team's highest finish in several decades.


In the first five starts of his career, White helped lead the Hanover men's basketball team to its second straight 4-1 start, as the team has been ranked inside the top 10 of the D3hoops.com National Top 25 Poll all season long…White averaged 14.8 points per game, which was good enough to tie for second on the team through the opening five games…Added a team-best 7.2 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per contest…Among the tops in the HCAC in field goal percentage, where he shot 65.2 percent…Made 13-of-17 free throws, a .765 shooting clip…Recorded double-digit point totals in all five games, while adding at least seven rebounds on four occasions…Tallied a career-high three blocks in the 84-83 win over nationally-ranked Ohio Wesleyan.
