Tony Carlton started at Hanover College as an Assistant Athletic Trainer in 2005 and became the Head Athletic Trainer in 2007. His primary sport coverage is football, women’s basketball, cross country, women’s tennis, baseball and golf.
Prior to Hanover College, he worked at Indiana State University with the women’s soccer, softball and baseball teams for two years. Prior to that he was an assistant at Drake University, working mainly with their men’s basketball and football programs. Tony was also jointly responsible for organizing the medical coverage for the Drake Relays.
Carlton has been a certified athletic trainer since 1997. He did his undergraduate at Iowa State University receiving a Bachelor’s in Health and Human Performance. He also received a Master’s of Public Administration degree from Drake University with an emphasis on Health Care Administration. Tony has been a member of the National Athletic Trainer’s Association for 25 years and is licensed to practice athletic training in the state of Indiana.
Tony is married to Megan and they have two children; Reese and Trey.
