HANOVER, Ind. – Fifth year, quarterback Matthew Weimer (Georgetown, Ky.) signs with the Ingolstadt Dukes of the German Football League to continue his football career.
 
Located in Ingolstadt, Bavarian the Dukes compete as part of the top tier league of football in Germany known as the German Football League, winning the division in 2022 with a 10-0 record. The club was founded in 2007 and after experiencing great success in 2016 was promoted to the GFL later that season.
 
Weimer heads to Germany after an outstanding career with the Panthers that saw him set records in career completion percentage (66.8), single season completion percentage (69.6 %) in 2022, and single game completion percentage (89.,7 %) set against Bluffton in 2022.
 
He finished the 2022 season ranked 48^th among NCAA Division III in passing yards while throwing for a career 36 touchdowns and 5,439 yards.
 
The 2023 season is set to kick-off in late May and run through the summer. Weimer reports for training camp in early April.
