Hanover College men’s basketball assistant coach Corey Muchmore enters his third year in 2020-21.

Muchmore recently experienced a successful career as a player for the Panthers, leading Hanover to the program’s first NCAA Division III Elite Eight appearance and a final national ranking of No. 7. Muchmore was also named a 2016-17 All-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference selection and was the league tournament Most Valuable Player. He was the program’s representative on the Student-Athlete Advisory Board (SAAB) from 2015-2017 as well.

Despite the 2018-19 season being his first on the coaching staff, Muchmore does have seven years of experience as a camp coach and counselor. From 2010-2017, Muchmore assisted in organizing and coaching kids at numerous camps hosted by Moeller High School in Cincinnati, Ohio and Hanover College. He was also a camp dorm director during the summer sessions at Hanover.

Prior to his playing career at Hanover, Muchmore played for one of the top high school programs in the state of Ohio at Moeller. Muchmore was a 2012-13 team captain and received the “Man of Moeller” award, which is given to the player that most exemplifies the four core values of the program.

Muchmore graduated from Hanover College in 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in economics and minoring in sociology.
