HANOVER, Ind. – The Hanover men's golf team returns to action this weekend with the DePauw-hosted Dan Quayle Collegiate Classic.

LINEUP: Hanover will have three golfers competing this weekend that were in the inaugural lineup at Transylvania earlier this month. Juniors Austin Zapp (Union, Ky.) and John Summerlin (Indianapolis, Ind.), along with sophomore Charlie Bullerdick (New Market, Ind.), will all be making their second appearances this fall. Making his season debut is junior Addy Allyn (Culver, Ind.), while freshmen Brandon Bishop (Loveland, Ohio) and Caleb Lung (Nappanee, Ind.) will be making their collegiate debuts for the Blue and Red.

THE COURSE: The two-day Dan Quayle Collegiate Classic will be at Deer Creek Golf Club for the second consecutive year after previously being hosted by Twin Bridges Golf Course. Deer Creek G.C., located in Clayton, Ind., plays close to 6,700 yards from the tips and has a course and slope rating of 72.7 and 132, respectively.

LAST TIME OUT: Hanover's lone appearance this fall came at the Transylvania Invitational back on Sept. 1 and 2. The Panthers placed 13th as a team with a 54-hole score of 921 (310-300-311). Leading the way was sophomore Garrett Valentine (Elizabethtown, Ky.), who placed in a tie for 31st with a career-best total of 224 (75-72-77). Bullerdick paced the Panthers with 10 birdies and had a front nine scoring average of 35.7. Zapp and Summerlin also put together solid scoring rounds.

TOURNAMENT HISTORY: The Blue and Red have found success at DePauw's fall event in recent years, placing second twice in the past three seasons. Hanover is coming off a 10th place finish last season, after firing off a 36-hole team score of 620 (311-309). Zapp is the only returner that competed on the "A" team last year, placing in a tie for 18th. The junior added a top 25 finish in 2016 as well. Bullerdick and Summerlin will look to build off their debut appearances at the event from last fall.

UP NEXT: Next up for the Panthers will be the Mount St. Joseph (Ohio) Stateline Shootout on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 6 and 7. The two-day event is slated to take place in Oxford, Ohio at Indian Ridge Golf Club.
