DANVILLE, Ky. – The Hanover College men's golf team competed strong this weekend as they broke the school's 36-hole record and tied the 18-hole record.
As a team, the Blue and Red carded a 590 (291-299) breaking the record by two strokes. The day one score of 291 tied the school record for 18-holes. The team finished second overall in the six team field.
Pacing the field for the Panthers was senior Austin Zapp (Union, Ky.) with a second-place finish and a score of 142 (70-72).
Teammate, sophomore Luke Van Leeuwen (Kettering, Ohio) also carded an impressive score with 146 (71-75) strokes, finishing tied for fifth.
Rounding out the field for the Blue and Red was senior Addy Allyn (Culver, Ind.) recording a 163 (80-83) for a 27th place finish.
