INDIANAPOLIS – The Heartland Collegiate Lacrosse Conference has announced Hanover men's lacrosse junior Noah Dubrava (Centerville, Ohio) as its league defensive player of the week for his performance against Muskingum (Ohio).
The junior netminder tallied a season-high 17 saves during a 12-7 road victory for the Panthers. Dubrava has now made eight or more stops in each of the last three outings and his performance against the Fighting Muskies marked the 12th time in his collegiate career he has posted 15-plus saves.
With Hanover holding a late lead versus Muskingum, Dubrava made 12 of his stops in the second half, including eight in the fourth quarter, a frame HC shutout the Muskies in. Dubrava also recorded three groundballs and one caused turnover in the contest.
For the season, Dubrava has a save percentage of .623 and a goal against average of 8.21, both of which lead the HCLC. The junior's numbers also rank 23rd and 41st, respectively, in NCAA Division III.
Hanover has tied its best four-game start in program history under first-year head coach Jeff Roberts, producing a 3-1 mark. The Panthers will place their three-game winning streak on the line Wednesday, March 13, at 7 p.m., when they travel to face HCLC preseason-favorite Transylvania (Ky.) in their conference opener.
