KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Seniors Dominic Isadore (Cincinnati, Ohio) and Will Bridgeman (Columbus, Ind.) added to their list of accomplishments as they have been selected to the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III Men's All-Great Lakes Region Teams.
Isadore became the first Hanover player to be named to a first or second all-region team with a second team selection, while Bridgeman was named to the third team. The two seniors represent two of eight Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference players to be named to one of the three 12-player all-region teams. The regional recognition is the first for both players.
In 18 matches this fall Isadore led the Panthers, and ranked second in the HCAC in goals (11) and points (23). He also had a team-best four game-winning goals, which was the third most in the league. The senior forward was a first-team all-conference pick this year for the second consecutive season and finished his career with 24 goals, eight assists and 56 points in 57 career starts.
Bridgeman helped lead a Hanover defense that posted eight shutouts in 2017 while allowing only 15 total goals in 18 contests. The senior back started all 18 matches and scored two goals for four points. After earning honorable mention all-HCAC honors as a junior, Bridgeman was named a first team member this fall.
This year marks the first time the Panthers have had two all-region selections in the same year. Isadore and Bridgeman are the third and fourth players to receive the recognition in the past three years. Former goalkeeper Rafael DiMaio was named to the third team last year, and Enrico Franchini was also a third-team pick following the 2015 season.
Hanover finished with 10+ wins for the third straight year, and fourth time in the last five years. The Panthers went 12-4-2 overall and 7-1-1 in the HCAC.
