KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III Men's All-Region team was announced Monday afternoon as junior Josh Hughes (Lafayette, La.) added to his post season accolades.

Hughes, who garners his first career All-Great Lakes Region honor, was named to the First Team. The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference saw four players receive recognition, with Hughes being the only First Team selection.

The junior forward for Hanover finished the season with a team-best seven goals, nine assists, and 23 points. He also tallied a conference leading 30 shots on goal.

For his efforts in 2019, Hughes tabbed his second consecutive HCAC First Team honor and was named the HCAC Offensive Player of the Year.

He becomes just the sixth player in the past five years to earn all-region accolades from the United Soccer Coaches.

The Blue and Red finished the season 13-5-1 overall earning honors as both the HCAC regular season champions and conference tournament champions. The Panthers made their second national playoff appearance under head coach Matt Wilkerson dropping a tight 1-0 battle with Rochester (N.Y.).
