Men's Soccer 2021 Season will Feature Nine Game Slate

HANOVER, Ind. – The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference has released the 2021 men's soccer schedule featuring a nine-game slate. The 2021 campaign will see the Panthers in pursuit of their second consecutive HCAC Championship.

The Panthers are coming off a 2019 season that saw them finish 12-6-2 overall with an 8-1 mark in conference action claiming the regular season crown. Hanover advanced to their second consecutive tournament championship defeating Rose-Hulman in a shootout. With the victory, the Blue and Red garnered the automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.

Hanover, under the guidance of head coach Matt Wilkerson, will open the 2021 campaign at home on Wednesday, March 3 when they welcome Earlham. The Panthers then hit the road for a series of road contest with the first stop coming on Saturday, March 6 at Anderson. Last season, the Blue and Red used a balanced attack led by senior Josh Hughes (Lafayette, La. / Lafayette) to soar past the Ravens 2-0.

The Panthers head south to Lexington, Ky. on Wednesday, March 10 to take on the Pioneers of Transylvania before welcoming Defiance to the Soccer Complex on Saturday, March 13. Hanover currently holds a six-game win streak over the Yellow Jackets dating back to the 2013 season when Defiance claimed a double overtime thriller.

The Blue and Red welcome rival Franklin on Wednesday, March 17 before hitting the road for Manchester on Saturday, March 20 and Rose-Hulman on Wednesday, March 24. The Panthers will look to keep their three-game win streak alive after defeating the Fightin' Engineers in PK's a season ago.

The 2021 campaign will wrap-up at home for the Panthers as they welcome Bluffton to the Soccer Complex on Saturday, March 27 followed by Mt. St. Joseph on Wednesday, March 31.
