FRANKLIN, Ind. – The Hanover men's swimming team gained a pair of victories in a four-way meet at Franklin Saturday afternoon. The Panthers went 2-1 on the day, gaining victories against Transylvania and Thomas More while losing to Franklin.

The Blue and Red defeated the Pioneers and Saints by respective scores of 114.0-51.0 and 103.0-85.0. However, they suffered a loss at the paws of the Grizzlies to spoil their chance at a clean sheet.

As has been the case in previous meets, the relays remained a strong point for the squad. In the 200-yard medley, the quartet of junior Alex Maldeney (Fort Wayne, Ind.), along with freshmen Louis Holbrook (Greenfield, Ind.), James Moll (Tipton, Ind.), and Kyle Pfaffenberger (Seymour, Ind.) finished third. The group finished in 1:46.26.

Additionally, the 200-yard freestyle relay team of Maldeney and Moll, along with freshmen Will Morgan (Lapel, Ind) and Zach Stringer (Hebron, Ky.) brought home second-prize. The quartet clocked in at 1:34.14.

Individually, Maldeney gained a triumph in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 22.32 seconds, while Stringer notched a top-five spot in the 200-yard freestyle. Stringer's top-five finish came with a time of 2:09.45.

Hanover's next action will be the weekend of December 1st and 2nd at the Transylvania Invitational, with the start time to be determined.
