Hanover Swim Teams to Compete at Manchester

HANOVER, Ind. – The Hanover College swimming program will head north to Manchester for a dual meet against the Spartans on Saturday afternoon in the Strauss-Peabody Aquatic Center.

The dual is scheduled to begin at 1 PM.

LAST TIME OUT: The Panthers last time out saw the women's swim team compete against Anderson recording 75 points, while the men fell by a slim 97-97 margin.

PACING THE WOMEN: Freshman Ilys Anderson (Hebron, Ky.) led the Blue and Red winning the 100-free with a non-taper personal best time of 57.46. She also set a new personal best in the 50-free finishing the event in a time of 26.28.

FOLLOWING THE MEN: On the men side, senior Alex Maldeney (Fort Wayne, Ind.) continues to have a strong campaign as he earned first place in the 50-yard free in a time of 22.19 and the 100-yard free crossing the finish line with a time of 49.22. The 200-yard free relay also finished strong in the dual winning the event in a time of 1:31.96. The team was compiled of sophomore James Moll (Tipton, Ind.), sophomore Louis Holbrook (New Palestine, Ind.), sophomore Will Morgan (Lapel, Ind.) and Maldeney.

UP NEXT: The Panthers return home for a dual with Transylvania on Friday, January 24. Meet time is scheduled for 6 PM.
