COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) announced the teams for its Scholar All-America award for the 2019 fall season, with both the Hanover men's and women's swimming teams receiving the honor.
The Panther men compiled a 3.07 grade-point average, while the women posted a 3.14 GPA. The CSCAA recognized a record best 762 programs from 480 institutions with the prestige honor. Hanover was one of three initiations in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference to garner the honor and one of two to have both the men's and women's teams receive Scholar All-America recognition.
The Panthers combined for four head-to-head victories this past season, including a sweep of Manchester. The men's swimming team claimed a fifth-place finish as part of the HCAC Championships with 183 points. The women's swimming team took fourth overall with 273 points.
Founded in 1922, the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), is the nation's first organization of college coaches. The mission of the CSCAA is to advance the sport of swimming and diving with coaches at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy, and professional development.
