Men's Tennis Finishes Strong at the EIU Invitational

CHARLESTON, Ill. – The Hanover men's tennis team wrapped up play at the EIU Invitational on Saturday evening posting a strong finish in both doubles and singles action.

In doubles action, senior Landon Carrico (New Albany, Ind.) teamed up with senior Jonathan Helmers (Cincinnati, Ohio) to go 2-1 overall.

Sophomore Pablo Gallart (Serra, Spain) teamed up with freshman Keith Asplund (Jeffersonville, Ind.) to post a strong run in doubles action going 3-1 overall.

Carrico started out hot in singles action as he went 4-1 and advanced to the finals before falling to a Southern Indiana competitor. 

Asplund posted a 4-1 overall record in singles falling in the championship to Southern Indiana. 

Helmer rounded out the singles action for HC as he went 3-1 overall.

The Panthers return to action on Saturday, September 28 when they welcome Midway.
