Federico Staksrud is entering his first season with the Hanover men's and women's tennis programs.
Staksrud, who is coming off a stellar collegiate career, is receiving his first collegiate coaching opportunity at Hanover. He does though have previous coaching experience, working at the Asociacion Deportes Racionales in his native country of Argentina, as well as coaching a junior team in Chattanooga, Tenn. at Baylor High School.
As a collegiate athlete Staksrud was named a National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) all-American for the 2017-18 season. In his final season, Staksrud compiled a 10-6 singles and 13-4 doubles record, competing mainly in the No. 1 slots. Staksrud also earned all-league awards from the Appalachian Athletic Conference three times (2015, 2016 and 2018), was named AAC Player of the Year once (2016) and garnered AAC Freshman of the Year accolades in 2015.
A native of Buenos Aires, Argentina, Staksrud was ranked among the top seven in the nation's under-18 rankings. He also spent one season competing at NCAA Division I institution, New Orleans, where he won a combined 15 singles and doubles matches, including a 9-6 mark in doubles play.
