HANOVER, Ind. – The Hanover track & field programs released their schedule for the upcoming 2020 indoor and outdoor seasons Friday, January 17.
The Panthers, under the direction of first year head coach Rachel Sharpe, are currently slated for 21 total events, running through January to May. The indoor season will open January 17, while the outdoor campaign begins March 20.
The Panthers enter the season on a high note after a successful 2019 campaign, that saw both squads register top finishes at both the indoor and outdoor conference championships.
The 2020 campaign opens with a trip to Terre Haute, Ind. before splitting the squad between the Tom Hathaway Classic Jan. 24-25 and Wittenberg Invitational on Jan. 25. The Panthers will also compete as part of the Joe Banks Invitational to open the month of February.
Other full squad meets include a trip to the Small College Classic on Feb. 7, DePauw Indoor Invitational on Feb. 15 before closing out the team portion of the indoor season with the HCAC Championship at Rose-Hulman on Feb. 22.
The outdoor portion of the schedule will begin on Mar. 20 as the Blue and Red compete in the two-day Pioneer Invitational. The team then heads south to Bellarmine on Mar. 27-28, before opening up the month of April with another trip to DePauw.
The outdoor HCAC Championship is set for Apr. 24-25 with the NCAA Outdoor Nationals slated for May 21-23.
