CARMEL, Ind. - Sophomore Cooper Hanson (Greenfield, Ind.) was named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Track Athlete of the Week announced Monday afternoon by the league office.
The sophomore paced the Panthers as part of the Fred Wilt Last Chance meet winning the 800-meter run in a time of 1:58.79. He was joined on the track by teammates freshman Aaron Rogers (Noblesville, Ind.) who claimed a second place finish in the 400-meter dash with a time of 53.30.
The honor marks the first of the season for Hanson and third overall for the Hanover men's track and field program in 2020.
