Veach Leads Men's Cross Country at the John McNichols Invite

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Hanover cross country team traveled to Terre Haute, Ind. to compete in the very competitive John McNichols Invitational featuring competitors from Division I, II, and III.

Senior Hayden Veach (Shelbyville, Ind.) posted a 172nd place finish in the 268-runner field with a time of 27:56.6.

Junior Andrew Clegg (Indianapolis, Ind.) followed him across the finish line with a time of 28:08.9 and a 179th place mark.

The Blue and Red also saw junior Andy Vilardo (Bloomington, Ind.) register a 185th place finish with a time of 28:22.9. Freshman Michael Taylor (Anderson, Ind.) ran the eight-kilometer course in 28:38.9 placing 198th overall, while sophomore Cooper Hanson (Greenfield, Ind.) finished 209th place and a time of 29:07.9. Rounding out the field for Hanover was freshman Robert Hoegeman (Monroe, Ohio) in 252nd place and a time of 31:40.3.

As a team, the Panthers finished 19th in the 21 team field.

The team returns to action on Saturday, October 5 when they travel to Louisville, Ky. for the Greater Louisville Classic.
