NEW ORLEANS – The Hanover men's cross country team was recognized Thursday afternoon by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for their performance on the course and in the classroom.
In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.1 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period.
The men's team is picking up its third national scholar award in the past four seasons, also receiving honors in 2018. Under the guidance of head coach Brady Wells, the Panthers tallied a fourth-place finish at the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships. The team also took 23rd at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional qualifier, while posting a team GPA of 3.12.
Overall, there were 172 men's teams that received All-Academic honors, including six HCAC institutions.
