HANOVER, Ind. – The Hanover women's basketball team will look to remain perfect in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference play with a trip to Rose-Hulman on Saturday, January 4.
REVIEW: The Blue and Red enter the weekend 4-5 overall, 3-0 HCAC after falling to Otterbein (66-59) and Trine (76-56) as part of the Smokey Ballenger Classic. Leading the way for Hanover was seniors Kristin Mills (Cincinnati, Ohio) and Katie Hartman (Madison, Ind.) averaging 10 points respectively. Mills finished the week shooting 57.1 percent from three-point range, while Hartman shot 83.3 percent from the free-throw line.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS: As a team, the Panthers are averaging 60.7 points per game while pulling in 35.4 rebounds per contest. Leading the way is senior Alexis Nall (Mount Vernon, Ind.) averaging a team-high 16.3 points per game with 10.8 rebounds per contest. Hartman is a close second averaging 11.8 points per game while shooting a team-high 37.5 percent from three-point.
SCOUTING ROSE-HULMAN: The Fightin' Engineers enter the weekend 1-9 overall, 0-3 HCAC after falling to New Paltz (54-40) as part of the Music City Classic. Leading Rose-Hulman was Desirae Webster and Rose Burnham with a team-high 10 points. On the year, the Fightin' Engineers are led by Hannah Woody averaging 10.5 points per game with 3.6 boards per contest.
