2018 FALL SCHEDULE

2018-19 ROSTER

HANOVER, Ind. – With the start of the 2018-19 season less than one week away, we preview the Hanover women's golf team.

The Panthers are coming off a successful 2017-18 campaign, one which saw the squad finish in the top half of the field in six-of-eight events. The Blue and Red took first place finishes at the Hanover and Franklin Lady Grizzly Invitationals, while also placing third at the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship.

Hanover will look to continue its recent success, five HCAC championships in the past eight years, as Brandon Tereshko takes over for long-time Hanover coach and supporter, Wayne Perry. Luckily for Tereshko, he will have the benefit of returning the program's top three scorers from a season ago.

Juniors Maddie Cody (Brownsburg, Ind.) and Allison Goodwin (Lebanon, Ind.) tied for the team-best scoring average last season, 82.44. Both Cody and Goodwin have earned all-conference recognition in each of their first two years.

Cody paced the Panthers with a trio of sub-80 rounds last season, while also winning two events, the Olivet (Mich.) Labor Day Classic and the Franklin Lady Grizzly Invite. As a sophomore, Cody posted two of HC's three lowest individual rounds, relative to par, with a 75 (+3) and a 77 (+4).

Goodwin also captured a medalist award last season, as she won the Hanover Invitational. Her sophomore season saw her post a team-high four top 10's and a pair of rounds in the 70's.

Senior Sam Pease (Cincinnati, Ohio) is Hanover's third leading scorer returning this fall, as she posted a 2017-18 average of 83.88. Pease accumulated three top 10's last year, including consecutive starts to open the campaign. Pease then added three more top 15's, including a tie-for-third at the Franklin-hosted event.

Five other Panthers return this fall, including sophomore Dayna Dale (Andrews, Ind.), who was one of six golfers last season to appear in at least seven events. Dale posted a season scoring average of 88.14 and logged top 20 finishes in three of her first four outings.

Additionally, five newcomers complete the 2018-19 women's golf roster, and the entire squad can be found at the link above.

The Panthers are set to open the new year with the Olivet Labor Day Classic Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 1 and 2. The Medalist Golf Club, in Marshall, Mich., is set to host competition for the season opener.
