HANOVER, Ind. – The Hanover women's lacrosse team announced its schedule for the 2018 season, where they'll look to qualify for the Ohio River Lacrosse Conference tournament for the second consecutive campaign.

Last season, the Blue and Red posted a 9-8 overall record including a 6-3 record against ORLC squads. This season, their schedule includes 11 ORLC matches and six matches against new opponents.

The Panthers will begin their season with their annual winter break trip. Hanover's first contest will be against Albion (Mich.) at Detroit Country Day School on February 25. They'll travel to face Concordia (Ill.) the next day, followed by a showdown against Illinois Tech (Ill.) on February 28.

After playing the beginning of their schedule on the road against unfamiliar out-of-conference opponents, the Blue and Red will enjoy a month-long home stand in Hanover, where they'll begin their in-conference schedule against Franklin.

During their early portion of home games, the Panthers will play two additional new teams in Carroll University (Wisc.) and Olivet College (Mich.).

The last of the six straight home games will be against Waynesburg (Pa.), which will be the first of nine consecutive ORLC opponents. Hanover will travel to Lexington, Ky. to play Transylvania on April 4 before coming home to face Chatham University (Pa.) on April 7. The Cougars are the newest addition to the ORLC and will begin their first season of play in 2018.

Following a home contest against Earlham on April 11, the Blue and Red go on the road for four straight contests against Westminster (Pa.), Washington & Jefferson (Pa.), Thiel (Pa.), and Thomas More (Ky.). The latter three will be a part of their spring break trip. Of these, the only team that Hanover lost to last season was Washington & Jefferson, who went on to the NCAA Division III Lacrosse Tournament last season.

The Panthers are currently in their offseason workouts and will officially begin practice for the 2018 season in January.
