CARMEL, Ind. - Senior Julia Long (Cincinnati, Ohio) garnered her third straight Heartland Collegiate Lacrosse Conference Defensive Player of the Week accolade announced Tuesday afternoon by the league office.
The senior becomes the first Panther in women's lacrosse history to achieve this feat.
In a competitive week, the senior charted 49 saves for a 63.6 save percentage as Hanover defeated Wis-La Crosse but dropped a pair of match-ups with DePauw and Heidelberg. In the team's victory over UW-La Crosse, Long tallied a game-high 19 saves through 48 minutes of action.
She currently ranks among the league best in total saves (84) and save percentage (60.0).
The Blue and Red return to action on Wednesday, March 11 when they open HCLC action at area-rival Franklin. Game time is slated ofr 7:0 PM.
