HANOVER, Ind. – The Hanover College athletic department has selected the winner of the Mildred E. Lemen Mental Attitude Award announced Wednesday afternoon.
The award is presented to the female student-athlete who displays outstanding mental attitude and puts the team's needs above her own. She continues to uplift those around her and gives 100 percent.
This year's recipient of the Mildred E. Lemen Mental Attitude Award is senior Julia Long (Cincinnati, Ohio) of women's lacrosse.
Despite serving as a back up goalkeeper for most of her young career, she never let it break her. Juice continued to put the team first earning a starting spot between the pipes as well as being named a team captain.
