HANOVER, Ind. – The Hanover women's soccer team welcomes Franklin and Earlham this week to the Soccer Complex for a pair of Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference match-ups.
REVIEW: The Panthers enter the week 4-4-1 overall, 1-0 HCAC after defeating Manchester 4-0. The Blue and Red were led in the contest by sophomore Autumn Boothby (Mount Orab, Ohio) with two goals and eight shots. Also scoring in the contest were teammates, senior Brandi Brock (Cincinnati, Ohio) and sophomore Ruby Kate Gray (Lexington, Ky.) with one goal apiece. The team finished with 25 shots, 12 of which were on frame.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS: Hanover has scored 18 goals this season with 11 assists, averaging 14.6 shots per game. The Blue and Red have registered a .534 shot on goal percentage, with 70 attempts landing on frame. The Panthers are led this season by Boothby with a conference leading six goals with 13 total points. In frame, sophomore Amanda Carmosino (Noblesville, Ind.) continues her stellar season ranking among the league's best in save percentage at .778. She has 49 saves on the season with a 3-3-1 overall record.
SCOUTING FRANKLIN: The Grizzlies enter the weekday match-up 1-9-1 overall, 1-0 HCAC after defeating Defiance, 4-0. Franklin was led in the contest by Elaina Page with a hat trick on five shots. Lilly Haines finished the contest with one goal and an assist. The Grizzlies are led this season by Page with a team-high three goals and an assist. In frame, Lexi Short has posted a team-best 1.87 GAA with 72 saves. The senior keeper has tallied one shutout.
SCOUTING EARLHAM: The Quakers come to Hanover 7-3 overall, 0-1 HCAC after losing their conference opener with Mount St. Joseph, 2-0. As a team, Earlham tallied four shots, two of which were on net, led by Eva Lyon and Tess Cunningham. The Quakers are led this season by Nicole Burkett and Lyon with six goals apiece. Lyon has taken 28 shots for Earlham, with 19 on frame.
