HANOVER, Ind. – The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference and its member institutions have announced the 2021 women's soccer schedule featuring nine contests. The announcement was made Thursday afternoon.
The Panthers are coming off a 2019 campaign that saw them go 11-6-2 overall, including a 7-1-1 mark in conference action. Hanover, under the guidance of head coach Jim Watts, advanced to their second consecutive HCAC Tournament Championship match.
The Blue and Red will kick-off the season on Wednesday, March 3 when they travel to Richmond, Ind. to take on the Quakers of Earlham College. Hanover currently holds a seven-game win streak dating back to the 2012 campaign that saw the Quakers claim to slim 1-0 decision.
The Panther road stint continues as they travel to Anderson on Saturday March 6 before returning to campus for their home-opener slated for Wednesday, March 10 with the Pioneers of Transylvania. The 2019 match-up saw Hanover net two first half goals to lift them to the 3-1 victory.
The Blue and Red welcome Defiance on Saturday, March 13 before heading to area rival Franklin on Wednesday, March 17. The Panthers will look to extend their win streak to three straight games against the Grizzles after an overtime thriller a season ago propelled HC to the exciting 2-1 decision.
Saturday, March 20 will see the Panthers head north to Manchester before closing out the home portion of their schedule. Hanover will take on defending HCAC Champions Rose-Hulman Wednesday, March 24 before welcoming Bluffton on Saturday, March 27.
The regular season finale is slated for Wednesday, March 31 with a trip to Mt. St. Joseph.
