CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. – Nora Miodrag (Louisville, Ky.) placed first overall in the 200-yard breaststroke to lead the Hanover College women's swim team to a fifth place finish in the Indiana DIII Championships Saturday hosted by Wabash College.
Miodrag, who also swam on two third place relay teams, finished with a time of 2:36.76 in her winning race after placing fourth overall in the 100-yard breaststroke with at time of 1:12.47.
Joining Miodrag with top-10 finishes on the day were freshman Sydney Schulok (Cincinnati, Oh.) in the 50-yard freestyle, sophomore Meagan Miles (Nabb, Ind.) in the 500-yard freestyle, and freshman Sydney Ruggles (Westfield, Ind.) in the 100-yard butterfly.
Junior Megan Brandt (Guyton, Ga.) and sophomore Liv Loran (Fort Wayne, Ind.) also contributed to team scoring by joining Miodrag and Schulok in both the 200-yard medley relay and the 400-yard freestyle relay, both of which placed third.
DePauw University won the team event with a total score of 855 points.
Next up for the Red and Blue will be a meet a home meet against Rose-Hulman next Friday, Oct. 26. The Panthers and Engineers will start their dual meet at 7 p.m.
