HANOVER, Ind. - The Hanover women's swimming team will continue its inaugural season with a trek to Anderson for their second head-to-head action of the year.

The Panthers will face the Ravens at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10. Competition is slated to be at the Bennett Natatorium.

MIODRAG MUSTERS HCAC HONORS: Freshman Nora Miodrag (Louisville, Ky.) earned the first HCAC honors in the program's brief history following the Blue and Red's debut dip in the pool at the Indiana Division III Championships. Highlighting her afternoon was an individual win in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:36.76, one of four events in which she had partaken. All the races in the quartet were top two finishes amongst Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference schools individually or as a team, with top-three overall placements in both relays.

The following weekend in the dual meet with Rose-Hulman, Miodrag notched top placement in both the 100-yard breaststroke and the 200-yard individual medley.

SOLO SUCCESSES: The women were proficient in several races against Rose-Hulman, most notably in the 1000-yard freestyle and the 100-yard breaststroke. In the 1000, sophomore Meagan Miles (Nabb, Ind.) headed Hanover with a time of 12:00.81, followed by junior Megan Brandt (Guyton, Ga.), who timed in at 12:40.64, marking one of two contests that Panthers finished in first and second.

Meanwhile, the 100-yard was claimed by Miodrag, with freshman Hailee Holbertson (New Palestine, Ind.) slotting second and junior Liz Baltas (Prospect, Ky.) coming fourth. Baltas also found the top four in the 50 and 100-yard free swims.

RELAY THE MESSAGE: The relays have had top-five placement in both meets this year, among them being the 200-yard medley. In the event, the Panthers have not seeded lower than third thus far, including a winning run against the Fighting Engineers. The team of Brandt and Miodrag, along with sophomore Liv Loran (Fort Wayne, Ind.) and freshman Sydney Schulok (Cincinnati, Ohio) brought home the podium with a time of 2:00.32.

UP NEXT: The Blue and Red will next be in action on Saturday, Nov. 17, when they travel to Franklin with a four-way fight between the host, Thomas More, and Transylvania.
