FRANKLIN, Ind. – The Hanover women's swimming team traveled to Franklin for a meet against Thomas More (Ky.), Transylvania, and host-school Grizzlies. The Panthers gained a win against the Saints, while falling to the Pioneers and Grizzlies.

The Blue and Red solidified their victory by a score of 129.0-73.0, while losing a close one at the hands of Transylvania, 127.0-103.0.

The women showed their usual proficiency in the relays, as they had third-place showings in both the 200-yard medley relay and 200-yard freestyle relay.

The medley was composed of freshmen Nora Miodrag (Louisville, Ky.) and Sydney Schulok (Cincinnati, Ohio), along with sophomore Liv Loran (Fort Wayne, Ind.) and junior Megan Brandt (Guyton, Ga.). In the medley, they timed in at 1:59.05. In the freestyle relay, Loran, Brandt, and Schulok were joined by sophomore Meagan Miles (Nabb, Ind.) that gained their third overall seeding with a time of 1:48.82.

Miodrag and Loran each had successes in solo races as well. Miodrag brought home second place in the 200-yard breaststroke with a finish at 2:37.56. Loran also brought home a runner-up in the 100-yard backstroke at 1:05.65, with Miodrag trailing her in fourth.

Schulok added two fifth-place finals in the 200- and 400-yard freestyle races. Considering that freshman Sydney Ruggles (Westfield, Ind.) slotted fourth in the 100-yard breaststroke, Hanover totaled six individual top-five finishes on the afternoon.

The Panthers will next dive into the pool at the Transylvania Invitational during the weekend of December 1st and 2nd, with event start time to be determined.
