HANOVER, Ind. - The Hanover women's tennis team will look to remain undefeated in conference play as they host Rose-Hulman at 11 a.m., this Saturday, September 23.
Last week, the Panthers went 1-1, including a 9-0 win versus Earlham. Sophomore Cami Jones (Richmond, Ind.) rolled in her No. 1 singles match, winning in straight sets by a score of 6-1, 6-1. In No. 1 doubles, Alana Feeley (Colchester, Vt.) and sophomore Caroline Millard (Cincinnati, Ohio) won 8-1.
The match also included three sweeps: Millard in No. 6 singles, sophomore Meghan Farrell (Indianapolis, Ind.) in the No. 2 singles, and the team of Jones and freshman Haley Parker (Leo, Ind.) in No. 3 doubles.
Hanover's opponent, Rose-Hulman, is a familiar foe as they last played in the HCAC Tournament Championship, where RHIT escaped with a 5-4 win. However, the Panthers have four straight regular season victories against the Engineers, dating back to the 2013-14 season.
This season, Rose-Hulman boasts a 3-0 record and will face Franklin on Wednesday evening before traveling to face Hanover this Saturday.
Singles competitor Fanny-Jade Banda holds a 4-1 record on the season competing in singles action while competing mainly in the No. 4 spot. The doubles team of Naomi Bhagat and Anna Thompson have a 3-3 record on the season while competing mainly in the No. 1 spot.
