ORLANDO, Fla. – The Hanover women's tennis team snapped a brief two-match setback with a pair of victories in Orlando, Fla. Monday, Feb. 26.

The Panthers (13-4) opened the day with a 9-0 win over Adrian (Mich.) and followed it up with an 8-1 decision over Concordia-Moorhead (Wis.) in the night session. The Bulldogs and Cobbers fall to 0-5 and 1-6, respectively.

Two doubles duos completed the doubleheader sweep, with junior Susie Winternheimer (Indianapolis, Ind.) and sophomore Meghan Farrell (Indianapolis, Ind.) leading the way in the No. 2 slot. Winternheimer and Farrell were one of three Hanover doubles teams to win by a count of 8-4 against Adrian, before adding an 8-2 triumph over CCM. The junior-sophomore tandem have now won 12 straight doubles matches and improve to 15-2 on the season.

Sophomore Cami Jones (Richmond, Ind.) and freshman Haley Parker (Leo, Ind.) continued their strong campaign with 8-4 and 8-1 victories. Parker, along with Winternheimer, also conceded just four games in four sets during singles play.

In the top doubles spot, sophomore Caroline Millard (Cincinnati, Ohio) picked up wins in both matches, teaming with senior Alana Feeley (Colchester, Vt.) in the opener and junior Ruth Gaston (Indianapolis, Ind.) during an 8-4 win in the night session. Both Feeley and Gaston earned singles victories in their respective matches as well, while Millard picked up a win in the No. 5 slot versus Adrian, before being forced to retire due to injury against CCM.

Farrell appeared in the top singles spot in both matches, winning both in straight sets. The sophomore posted three sets with just one game conceded. Her classmate, Jones, saw her 2-0 day in singles play highlighted by a 6-2, 6-0 decision against the Cobbers.

Hanover, who has competed at the USTA Tennis Center in each of the past two seasons, is now 8-5 during the annual Winter Break trip. The Blue and Red have also won three of their last four in the Sunshine state.

This year's trip will conclude at 6 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 27, as the Panthers compete against Saint Mary's (Minn.).
