ANDERSON, Ind. – Multiple personal records from senior Casey Pennell (Indianapolis, Ind.) and sophomore Kenna Hunter (Mooresville, Ind.) highlighted the Hanover women's track & field team's performance at the Anderson Invitational Saturday.

Pennell set three personal records in four events, including the long jump, where her mark of 4.84 meters is now good enough for third in school history. The senior placed fourth in the long jump and the 60m dash (8.40), while also adding a top five finish in the high jump (1.48m). To go along with her best collegiate efforts in the long jump and 60m, was her performance in the 200, where she clocked in at 28.94 seconds.

Adding three more PR's was Hunter, as she set new bests in the triple jump (9.89m), 60m hurdles (10.24) and high jump (1.48m). Hunter posted three top five finishes, including the triple jump, where she took first, and her time of 1:01.83 in the 400m was good enough for second.

The distance medley relay squad added another victory for the Panthers, defeating the only other institution in the event, the NAIA's Lindsey Wilson, with a time of 14:07.20. In all, HC totaled 11 top five finishes Saturday.

In the 3000m run, a pair of sophomores in Ariel Barlow (Francesville, Ind.) and Caitlyn Naghdi (Carmel, Ind.) placed inside the top five. Barlow raced across the finish line in 11:33.76, while Naghdi followed at 12:03.12. Both times were personal bests.

Sophomore Eve Galbreath (Vevay, Ind.) and junior Teal Burnett (Marshall, Ill.) added third place finishes in the weight throw and 400m, respectively. Galbreath's toss of 13.72m set a new PR in the weight throw, which keeps her third all-time at HC.

Hanover will travel to DePauw (Ind.) next weekend for its final preparation before returning to Anderson for the HCAC Championships on Feb. 17. The Panthers' trek to Greencastle, Ind. will see them open competition at 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 10.
