Panthers Welcome Four Teams as Part of the Hanover Invitational

HANOVER, Ind. – The Panthers are set to host the 2019 Hanover Invitational hosted in Horner Center and the Collier Arena. This year's Invitational will feature teams from Franklin College, Adrian College, Trine University and Capital University.

WEEKEND SCHEDULE: The Invitational opens on Friday, September 13 at 5 p.m. as the Panthers play host to Capital. Taking the floor at 7 p.m. on court one will be Franklin vs. Adrian, while Capital and Trine matchup on court two. On Saturday, Sept. 14 Hanover opens the day at 10 a.m. with Trine on court one. Court two will feature the teams from Franklin and Capital. At noon on court one, Franklin and Trine will square off while Capital and Adrian compete on court two. The final match of the weekend will feature the Panthers and Bulldogs at 2 p.m.

PANTHER REVIEW: Hanover enters the weekend 4-3 overall after dropping back-to-back contest to Ohio Athletic Conference foes Ohio Northern (3-1) and Heidelberg (3-0).

TALKING STATS: The Panthers are led this season by defensive specialist senior Ally Williams (Fountaintown, Ind.) with 146 total digs ranking her third among the HCAC. The senior also ranks among the league's best in digs per set at 5.03. On the attack, sophomore Emma Rolf (Lebanon, Ind.) has made a strong debut at the net with 71 kills and a team-best 2.45 kills per set. As a team, the Panthers are averaging 11.07 kills per set with a .148 hitting percentage.

UP NEXT: The Blue and Red return to action on Friday, September 20 as they participated in a rematch with Spalding. First serve is set for 7 p.m.
