Tong Concludes Season at the NCAA DIII Championships

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Sophomore Arig Tong (Columbus, Ind.) wrapped up the season with her second consecutive visit to the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships hosted by Spalding University and the Louisville Sports Commission.

The sophomore phenom ran the race in a time of 23:01.6 for a 124th place finish among the 277-runner field. Her visit to the NCAA Division III Championship marks the fourth female runner in school history to compete in the event.

She concluded the year earning Great Lakes All-Region honors running her fastest race of the season en route to an 11th place overall mark.

Parley Hannan of Ithaca claimed her second consecutive National Title, winning the race in a time of 20:53.8. John Hopkins claimed the team title with 125 points including three top 20 finishers.

Arig will look to carry her early season success into the winter and spring as she competes as part of the Panther track and field team.
