ANDERSON, Ind. – The Hanover men's swimming team opened the 2020-21 campaign on Saturday afternoon as they traveled north to Anderson University. The Panthers dropped the dual, 121-54.
Pacing the way for Hanover was freshman
Josh Jones (Richmond, Ind. / Richmond) with two top three marks. The freshman claimed first place in the 200-yard free in a time of 1:59.06, while also taking second place in the 100-yard free with a time of 55.33.
Teammate, junior
Davis Guthier (Fort Thomas, Ky. / Highlands) also garnered a first-place finish in the 100-yard fly in a time of 1:02.30. Junior
James Moll (Tipton, Ind. / Tipton) rounded out the first-place finishes for the Blue and Red as he claimed the top spot in the 100-yard back with a mark of 59.38.
Hanover saw freshman
Tyler Bray (Boonville, Ind. / Boonville) claim a top finish, taking second-place in the 500-yard free with a time of 5:38.73. The 200-yard free relay team of Guthier, Bray, freshman
Michael Griffith (Troy, Ohio / Troy) and junior
Will Morgan (Lapel. Ind. / Lapel) closed out the meet for Hanover with a runner-up mark in a time of 1:35.81.
The Panthers return to action on Saturday, January 30, at 1:00 PM when they take on Rose-Hulman.
