HANOVER, Ind. – The Panthers return to action this week with a double-header against the Grizzlies of Franklin College. Hanover hits the road on Thursday, January 28, at 7:00 PM before returning to Collier Arena on Saturday, January 30, at 1:00 PM .
 
LAST MEETING: The last meeting between these two teams occurred as part of the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament that saw Hanover advance to the Conference Championship. The Blue and Red defeated the Grizzlies 72-59 paced by a double-double from senior Savannah Courtney (Lawrenceburg, Ky. / Franklin County). Courtney tallied 13 points with 12 rebounds while dishing out five assists.
 
THE SERIES: The Panthers currently hold a seven-game win streak over the Grizzlies dating back to the 2017 season. Franklin claimed the overtime victory on February 8, 2017 by a 70-63 margin.
 
HOME STREAKS: Hanover continues to dominate within the confines of Collier Arena holding a 10-0 record dating back to the 2018-19 campaign. Last season, the Blue and Red posted a perfect 9-0 mark including a conference clinching victory over Transylvania. The momentum has carried into this season with a home-opening victory over Manchester, 69-52.
 
CONFERENCE BEST: The Hanover offense ranks as the best in the conference with a league leading 68.7 points per contest. Leading the charge is Courtney averaging 17.0 ppg, while pulling in 6.3 rpg. The senior also ranks first among the conference in assists, averaging 4.0.
 
UP NEXT: The Panthers will return to action on Friday, February 5, and Sunday, February 7, when they take on Earlham.
