HANOVER, Ind. – The Hanover women's basketball team is set to tip-off the 2021 season on Saturday, January 9 as they travel to Manchester University.
House Keeping: Fans will not be permitted to attend HCAC events until at least Feb. 15. However, live video and live stats will be available on gameday and can be found on the Hanover athletic website:

Schedule Update: The Panthers will play a limited schedule featuring Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference opponents in a home and away format. The season will feature contests with Manchester, Mount St. Joseph, Rose-Hulman, Franklin, Earlham, Transylvania, and Anderson. The regular season will conclude on Saturday, Feb. 20. *The schedule is subject to change.
Year in Review: The Blue and Red will look to capitalize on a successful 2019-20 campaign that saw them win a Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference regular season title and advance to the HCAC tournament finals. For their efforts, Hanover landed four athletes on the All-Conference list including the HCAC Player of the Year,
Alexis Nall. Head Coach
John Jones and his staff also grabbed top honors being awarded the HCAC Coach of the Year. The Panthers finished the season 19-7 overall, with a perfect 9-0 mark at home.
Leading the Charge: Leading the charge this season for Hanover with be senior, forward,
Savannah Courtney (Lawrenceburg, Ky./Franklin County). The senior appeared in all 26 games making 25 starts. She finished the year ranked among the top three in points per game (10.0), rebounds (5.5), and steals (59), while also propelling to one of the league best in rebounds and steals.
In Control: Hanover currently holds a nine-game win streak against the Spartans dating back to the 2016 season. Their last match-up saw the Blue and Red defeat Manchester, 80-64, with four Panthers finishing in double figures. Courtney put up an impressive afternoon, netting 14 points with seven rebounds.
What's Next: Hanover returns to action on Thursday, Jan. 14 when they welcome Mount St. Joseph to Collier Arena. Tip-off is slated for 7:0 PM.
