HANOVER, Ind. – The Hanover Panthers will hit the road for Atlanta, Ga. and Emory University to face the University of Lynchburg in the First Round of the NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Tournament on Saturday.
The Panthers (13-4-2) advance to the NCAA tournament for the third time in the past six seasons, including their most recent trip in 2019.
Hanover qualified for the tournament after winning the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament title in heart pounding fashion by way of sudden death penalty kicks over Defiance, giving HC the league's automatic bid.
Lynchburg (15-4-1) won the Old Dominion Athletic Conference automatic bid after defeating Randolph 1-0 in double overtime.
The Hanover-Lynchburg winner will face either No. 17-ranked tournament host Emory or Centre in the Second Round on Sunday.
