Hanover claims convincing win at Manchester

Box Score NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. – The Hanover men's soccer team claimed a convincing 4-0 victory over Manchester on Saturday afternoon.

The Panthers used a balanced attack getting contributions from four different athletes. They tallied a game-high 10 shots, five of which landed on frame.

Hanover wasted little time getting on the scoreboard as junior Luke Eppler (Evansville, Ind.) found senior Josh Hughes (Lafayette, LA) just three minutes into the contest for the go-ahead score, 1-0.

Eppler would find a strike of his own moments later beating the Spartan defense to push the lead to 2-0.

The second half would see Hanover tack on two more scores with the first dagger coming at the 73:24 mark from freshman Scott Zehnder (Louisville, Ky.) off an assist by Hughes.

Sophomore Tommy Burns (Lafayette, LA) delivered the final blow to propel Hanover to the 4-0 victory.

The Panthers return to action on Wednesday, March 24 when they travel to Rose-Hulman. Game time is set for 7:00 PM.
