Box Score TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Hanover men's soccer team battled to a double overtime tie on Wednesday evening at Rose-Hulman. The Panthers got goals from junior
Luke Eppler (Evansville, Ind.) and junior
Fellipe Busato (Sao Paulo, Brazil) en route to the 2-2 draw.
The Panthers wasted little time claiming the early 1-0 advantage as senior
Chris Pitre (Belle Chasse, La.) found Eppler in the 10
th minute for the first strike.
However, Rose-Hulman responded with the equalizer minutes later as they were able to navigate the Panther defense knotting the contest at 1-1.
The second half would see the Blue and Red claim the slim 2-1 advantage as sophomore
Brendan Gallagher (Louisville, Ky.) found Busato for the go-ahead goal.
The Fightin' Engineers continued on the attack as they were able to send it to overtime in the final moments of regulation. Both teams found themselves without an attempt on frame in extra time.
Hanover finished the contest with 13 shots, five of which landed on goal.
The Panthers return to action on Sunday, March 28 when they welcome Bluffton. Game time is set for 3:30 PM.
