CARMEL, Ind. – The Hanover men's lacrosse team saw seven student-athletes garner Heartland Collegiate Lacrosse Conference honors announced Monday afternoon by the league office.
 
Senior Eric Hopkins (Evansville, Ind.), senior Ian Kimmins (Dayton, Ohio), sophomore Eli Jeffries (Evansville, Ind.), and sophomore Bryce Nokes (Jeffersonville, Ind.) claimed First Team accolades, while teammates freshman Nick Adams (Greenwood, Ind.), junior Sean O'Meara (Lexington, Ky.) and sophomore Michael Schaeper (Cincinnati, Ohio) were named Second Team All-HCLC.
 
Hopkins appeared in and stared all 12 games for the Panthers. The senior netted 21 goals with nine assists for a combined 30 points. He ranked second among the team in shots with 90, 58 of which landed on frame.
 
Kimmins led the Hanover attack as he scored a team-high 36 goals with a team-best 12 assists. He ranked second among the league in goals per contest (3.00), total points (48), and finished third in shots per game averaging 7.92.
 
As a defenseman, Jeffries started nine games for the Blue and Red with 38 ground balls and 19 caused turnovers. He added one shot that connected for his lone strike of the 2021 season.
 
Nokes rounded out the Frist Team honors as he started all 12 games for the Panthers. He added two goals with 47 ground balls. He led the team with 23 caused turnovers and went 26-for-41 at the face-off.
 
Adams saw action in 11 games for the Blue and Red in 2021 with seven goals and eight assists. He tallied 15 total points with 48 shots, 25 of which landed on frame.
 
As the starting goalkeeper for the Panthers, O'Meara appeared in all 12 games. He tallied a team-high 49 ground balls with 121 saves. He finished the year with a .559 save percentage that landed him second among the HCLC, while his 9.85 saves per game ranked him fourth overall.
 
Rounding out the honors for Hanover was Schaeper who saw action in eight games. He netted four goals and dished out five assists for nine points. The sophomore finished the year 91-of-155 at the face-off with 39 ground balls.
 
Hanover finished the season at 8-5 overall, 6-1 in the HCLC and claimed a runner-up mark.
