NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. – The Hanover Panthers dominated doubles play but fell in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship with Rose-Hulman 5-2.
Hanover entered the match as the no. 1 seed taking the 2-1 lead through doubles action as the team of junior
Connor Garrison (Louisville, Ky.) and freshman
Joey Keal (Louisville, Ky.) took no. 2 doubles 8-3 before the team of senior
Jed Fajt (Greencastle, Ind.) and senior
Roger Trombley (Signal Mountain, Tenn.) captured no. 3 doubles 8-5.
However, the Fightin' Engineers captured the match in singles play claiming no. 1 singles 6-2, 6-1 before capturing victories at no. 2 singles and no. 4 singles for the HCAC win.
Hanover finished the season as the HCAC regular season champions and posted a 10-1 overall record.
