HANOVER, Ind. – The Hanover men's soccer team (2-3-1 overall) fell in non-conference action on Friday afternoon to Ohio Northern, 2-0.
Leading the Panthers was sophomore
Joao Domenici (Alphaville, Brazil) with a team best five shots, three of which landed on frame.
In goal, junior
Luciano Salemi (Indianapolis, Ind.) added a game-high 10 saves on 12 shots faced.
The Polar Bears uesd a balance attack en route to the win, netting one first half goal as well as one second half strike.
After surrendering the first goal in the 29
th minute the Panthers looked to counter as senior
Brendan Gallagher (Louisville, Ky.) fired a shot on goal that was denied by the ONU keeper.
The second half would see HC fall behind 2-0 in the 81
st minute with one final attempt on goal that once again was blocked by the ONU goalkeeper.
Hanover returns to action on Monday, Sept. 19 when they hit the road for Wabash.
