HANOVER, Ind. – The Panthers (8-7-1 overall, 4-2-1 HCAC) celebrated Senior Day on Saturday defeating Anderson in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference action 3-2.
Hanover found the back of the net quickly as sophomore
Carter Marx (Evansville, Ind.) played a ball from midfield that soared over the Anderson defensemen and landed at the feet of junior
Austen Holwerda (Louisville, Ky.), 1-0.
The Blue and Red extended the lead to 2-0 as sophomore
Patricio Campos (Cdmx, Mexico) navigated the Ravens with some fancy footwork finding the strike in the 18
th minute.
The Panthers added one final goal in the 31
st minute as Campos netted his second goal of the afternoon following an assist by senior
Ethan Nazor (Louisville, Ky.), 3-0.
Anderson added their first goal in the 84
th minute before netting the game's final goal with just three seconds remaining the contest.
Hanover finished with 23 shots, 11 of which landed on frame.
Hanover returns to action on Wednesday, Oct. 25 when they travel to Rose-Hulman. Game time is set for 7:00 PM.
