HANOVER, Ind. – The Hanover men's and women's cross country team's hit the road this weekend for the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships in Shelbyville, Ind.
 
The men's race is slated to begin at 12:00 PM followed by the women's race at 1:00 PM.
 
The women's cross country team was pegged the favorite to win the 2023 HCAC title following a runner-up mark in 2022. Senior Amberleigh Sorensen (Yorktown, Ind.) will look to lead the Blue and Red after posting a Hanover top 10 mark as part of the Louisville Classic with a time of 19:05.2.
 
On the men's side, senior Ethan Weston (Louisville, Ky.) will look to pace the Panthers after being named a preseason HCAC Runner to Watch. The best race of his 2023 campaign came in Shelbyville as part of the Franklin Classic where he completed the race in a time of 16:30.5.
