LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Hanover men's tennis team swept Hastings College as head coach
Eric LaRue recorded his combined 100
th win at Hanover College.
The Panthers took down the Broncos 6-0, moving LaRue's Hanover all-time men's and women's record to 100-66 overall.
Hanover opened the match in dominate fashion sweeping doubles play. The no. 1 doubles team of junior
Joey Keal (Louisville, Ky.) and freshman
Nicolas Zumba Coronado (Buckhannon, W.V.) claimed a nail biter 9-7.
At no. 2 doubles, the combination of junior
Charley Williams (Jeffersonville, Ind.) and freshman
Abhay Singh (Ambala, India) went unblemished 8-0.
Rounding out doubles action was junior
Rodolfo Jacome (Guayas, Ecuador) and freshman
Vincent Jaouen (Orleans, France) winning the match 8-5.
In singles action, the veteran, Keal remained perfect dominating no. 1 singles 6-3, 6-0.
Coronado won no. 2 singles while teammate Aingh secured the victory with a 6-2, 6-2 win at no. 3 singles.
Hanover returns to action on Thursday afternoon when they welcome Midway to the Zeddies Tennis Center.
