HANOVER, Ind. – The duo of junior
Taylor McNally-Henriksen (Zionsville, Ind.) and junior
Masi McNally-Henriksen (Zionsville, Ind.) paced the Panther (1-4 overall) offense on Wednesday evening as they fell in non-conference action to Wittenberg 22-6.
Taylor netted a team high three goals with an assist while Masi added two goals.
Wittenberg claimed the 2-0 lead when Taylor halted the charge at the 9:15 mark. The junior made a nifty move that cut the difference to 2-1.
However, the Tigers remained poise tacking on four straight goals to push the lead to 6-1.
Masi deemed clutch for the Blue and Red charting her 14
th goal of the young season to help propel Hanover into the second quarter trailing just 7-2.
The second quarter would see Wittenberg begin to pull away as they used a seven goal outburst claiming the 14-4 lead at the intermission.
Freshman
Abby Mensing (Parker, Colo.) jumped onto the scoreboard in the first half for the Panthers, picking up her fourth season goal.
Hanover added two final strikes in the contest the first coming from the stick of Taylor at the 4:45 mark in the third quarter and the final from Masi with 8:41 to play in the contest.
In frame, freshman
Marissa Bardo (Indianapolis, Ind.) collected an impressive 10 saves through 60 minutes of action.
Hanover returns to the pitch on Tuesday, April 4 when they welcome Adrian to Alumni Stadium. Draw control is set for 3:00 PM.
