DELAWARE, Ohio – The Hanover Panthers (1-3 overall) dropped a non-conference contest on Saturday evening to the no. 24 ranked Battling Bishops of Ohio Wesleyan 3-1.
Hanover was led by sophomore
Carter Marx (Evansville, Ind.) with two shots and a goal. Teammate, junior
Sean Kelly (Newburgh, Ind.) added an assist while goalkeeper senior
Luciano Salemi (Indianapolis, Ind.) recorded a game-high seven saves.
Ohio Wesleyan surged ahead 2-0 in the opening frame before the Panthers responded in the 37
th minute. Providing the Panther's only goal was Marx following a Hanover free kick, 2-1.
The Battling Bishops added the game's final goal in the 46
th minute en route to the 3-1 victory.
Hanover returns to action on Tuesday, Sept. 12 when they take on Berea. Game time is set for 7:00 PM.
